Wake Forest did the damn thing tonight, beating North Carolina, 92-89. Gotta give a shout out to my little brother ZP on this one; he's been talking about this young Demon Deacon team since the preseason, and they've managed to go from #24 in the ESPN preseason poll 8 weeks ago to #4 and climbing. And their still undefeated, one of just three teams in the nation who can boast that. Here's the best part, though: just one of their top ten scorers is a senior. Tonight, Wake Forest guard Jeff Teague, the ACC's leading scorer, went off on Carolina, dropping 34 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Sophomore forward Chas McFarland also had 20 for the Demon Deacons, who held Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson to a combined 7-24 from the field. The Tar Heels have now lost two of three, and sit at the bottom of the ACC. These two teams will definitely meet again, and it will be interesting who is the best team on Tobacco Road this season.
