LaMarcus Aldridge has the makings to be one of the top 4 or 5 bigs in The L in the next few years: 6-11, long, can run, and his midrange/fadeaway game is so sweet. While Greg Oden's been the focus of all the hype in Portland, LaMarcus may be the real post star. Aldridge has been consistent all season, averaging 18.6 in December and January, 18.7 in February, and 19.8 in March. He's been going insane over his last five though. Including Friday night's explosion for 35 and 18, he's put up 20+ four times, grabbed 12+ boards 3 times, and averaged 26.4 points and 10.8 rebounds. All while shooting 54%. He's gotten Rasheed Wallace comparisons, which may be warranted because of his long frame and the high release on his shot, but he's certainly got the potential to go far above and beyond what Sheed's done. Props to LaMarcus Aldridge.
