NBA Basketball...

Dwight Howard and the Magic smacked King James with one of the worst losses of his career, winning 116-87. Howard had 20 and 11 for the Magic, who outscored the Cavs 37-22 in the third quarter, and led by as much as 41. The Cavs loss is their second straight after losing to Washington Thursday night. They seemed to be in complete control of the East and poised for a season that won't end until June, but finishing the season strong is imperative. They've got 6 games left, including San Antonio tomorrow (April 5), Washington again, and Boston. Let's see what they can do.

The Lakers picked up a nice W, beating the Rockets 93-81, and closing within a game of Cleveland's league-leading record, 61-15. Kobe had a beautiful game in terms of efficiency, finishing with 20 points on 7-11 shooting, to go along with 7 assists. The Lakers have had complete control of the West for damn near the whole season, and they've been able to put it in cruise control. All season long, Kobe's stepped back, let the game come to him, and not forced things - which he's been criticized for for much of his career. With him and the Lakers so laid back it'll be interesting to see how they handle themselves in the playoffs. Does the huge lead mean they've got more in the tank than anybody, or will it come back to haunt them???...

The Miami Heat Dwayne Wade clinched his playoff berth with a 97-92 victory over the Bobcats.
