Big East Tourament...
Providence ended DePaul's attempt at miracle, holding them without a field goal for 8 minutes in the second half to top the Blue Demons 83-74. Even in the loss, big ups to Will Walker and Dar Tucker, who put up 31 and 30, respectively. Real talk, Dar Tucker has the potential to be one of the top 10 2-guards in the country...Notre Dame's chances are all but gone after falling to West Va. 74-62...While it was St. John's, smashing a team is always a good look, which #21 Marquette did winning 74-45...
#20 'Cuse and Seton Hall was pretty dry until a couple player altercations spiced things up. The most significant included Seton Hall G Eugene Harvey and Syracuse G Eric Devendorf. Overall, each team picked up two tech's during the game. After the Defendorf/Harvey scuffle, 'Cuse went on a 28-11 run, and showcased their talent the way everyone expected them to coming into the season. It's always tough to put your faith behind inconsistent squads with loads of talent (i.e. Devendorf, Johnny Flynn, Andy Rautins, Paul Harris, etc.) like the Orangemen, but they looked pretty damn good in the second half, and finished the season winning 5 of their last 6. The Orangemen were 9-18 from deep, and led by Flynn, who had 19 points and 11 assists, and Devendorf, who had 19, as well.
