6 NBA Games on tap Tuesday night...Highlights: LBJ went for 33, 7 boards, 4 assists, and 2 blocks as the Cavs remained UNBEATEN at home - 23-0. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen - who hit a 3 at the buzzer to win it - and Rajon Rondo, all went for 20+ to pick up the slack for the C's in KG's absence. They've now won 12 in a row. Melo had 35 and 9 boards in his second game back after being out with a broken hand since the first week of January. Vince Carter had a triple-double - 15 points, 12 dimes, and 10 boards. Greg Popovich gave TP, Timmy D, Manu, and Michael Finley the night off.
Injury Update: Jameer Nelson has a torn labrum, and at the least will miss several weeks. Should he have surgery, he'll mis the rest of the season. Damn, there goes Orlando's title hopes...Chris Paul is day-to-day with a strained groin.
It's crazy how the complexion of The League has changed in just a few days due to injuries to top teams. The loss of Andrew Bynum for at least two months hurts L.A.'s chances, but they're definitely not out of the conversation. Nelson's injury puts an end to title talk in Orlando, but they're certainly still a top 4 team in the East. And if CP3 misses a game, it's a guaranteed L for N.O. - no player, save D. Wade, is more valuable to their team this season.
